Christian Mission of South India

for I know that through your prayers and God’s provision of the Spirit of Jesus Christ what has happened to me will turn out for my deliverance. I eagerly expect and hope that I will in no way be ashamed, but will have sufficient courage so that now as always Christ will be exalted in my body, whether by life or by death.

– Philippians 1:19-20 NIV

Today’s video commentary from Pastor Dave https://youtu.be/8e7-x68ER2g

Written from a jail cell Paul is not sure if he will live or die, but he is confident that Christ will be exalted, no matter what the outcome. We are in a fear filled time. We all face fears that our lives will not amount to much or will be a source of shame, but Paul gives us hope. If Christ can be exalted in a 1st Century prison, then what in a time of lockdown? Take courage, for the expectation and hope from Scripture is that He can use your circumstances for His glory. In life or death, you can be used as a vessel for Christ.

Ministries: Tribal Ministry

CMSI trains tribal men in the gospel to minister to their own and surrounding villages. There are a lot of educational needs, medical needs, and every other kind of need that is associated with poverty and people unfamiliar with the love of Jesus Christ. CMSI tries to meet as many of these needs as possible to allow the love of God to reach into the hearts of people through the efforts of the CMSI ministers (preachers).

In 2005 three villages that CMSI had been working with were affected by the tsunami disaster. The Lord through CMSI helped with food distribution, fishing nets, boats, and rebuilding a wall and a widow's roof damaged in the storm.
