When the gospel reaches a village, there is usually no facility in which to meet for worship services, since the homes are usually too small to accommodate more than a few people. As the newly planted church (believers) grows, a meeting place is required, but the populace is usually so poor that the Lord has to provide the finances through supporters to construct a thatched roof meeting place. On occasion, as the Lord moves and provides, CMSI is able to provide the funds for a permanent type brick, hard roofed meeting place. CMSI has planted churches in many locations as the Lord led and provided the finances, with the labor being done by the preachers and local village believers. Keep in mind that a "Mandel" in India is somewhat like a "County" in the United States.
