for I know that through your prayers and God’s provision of the Spirit of Jesus Christ what has happened to me will turn out for my deliverance. I eagerly expect and hope that I will in no way be ashamed, but will have sufficient courage so that now as always Christ will be exalted in my body, whether by life or by death.

– Philippians 1:19-20 NIV

Today’s video commentary from Pastor Dave

Written from a jail cell Paul is not sure if he will live or die, but he is confident that Christ will be exalted, no matter what the outcome. We are in a fear filled time. We all face fears that our lives will not amount to much or will be a source of shame, but Paul gives us hope. If Christ can be exalted in a 1st Century prison, then what in a time of lockdown? Take courage, for the expectation and hope from Scripture is that He can use your circumstances for His glory. In life or death, you can be used as a vessel for Christ.

Making disciples of Jesus Christ according to His Great Commission is the overriding goal of all CMSI's activities. V. Benni and the CMSI Board believe that the best way to do this is to follow the Scriptural admonition of Paul to Timothy to entrust the gospel to reliable men who will also be qualified to teach others. V. Benni started with just him and two other men in 1991, applied this principle, and now through the Lord's leading and opening doors of opportunities trained over thirty-six (36) full time evangelists, twelve (12) of which are Yanadi, a people group a few years ago listed as unreached by the gospel.
